JEWELERY CARE
In our collection you will find jewelry mainly made of stainless steel, as well as other different metals.
In order for your jewelry to last over time, it needs care to remain as it was when you bought it. Daily use, air pollution and dust affect the shine of your jewelry, so we suggest you follow our instructions below.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel has strong resistance to wear and rust due to exposure, water or moisture. All that is needed is a gentle cleaning with a soft cloth as stainless steel does not oxidize or tarnish, so it does not need much care.
Mixed metals
These jewels are a mix of various materials, mainly steel chains with gold-plated or silver-plated elements (brass, bronze, etc.). They are resistant to time, but there is a greater possibility that this material, compared to stainless steel, will oxidize when it comes into contact with water, sweat, perfumes/creams, etc. For this reason, we recommend that you follow the steps below:
– Avoid direct contact with water and chemical products such as perfume, creams, etc.
- Do not store jewelry in the bathroom because it can deteriorate quickly from moisture.
– Do not wear the jewelry when you bathe/shower, in the pool, in the sea, in the sauna, etc.
– Remove jewelry while sleeping, exercising and doing housework.
– Chlorine, detergents, oils, creams, perfumes, makeup products, acidic pH, etc. can all cause damage.
- Clean your jewelry regularly and carefully, after each use, with a soft dry cloth.
– Do not leave the jewelry on wet, hot or rough surfaces or thrown in the bag.
– Do not pull or push the chains. Wrap them carefully when you store them so they don't get tangled.
The Think Jewels team does not guarantee that the gold plating of the jewelery will last forever.
Gold-plated jewelry is by definition more delicate and more likely to lose its color over time.
The lifetime of the jewelry depends on you, on the use you make and on the pH of your body.
